Cameron Watson joined Newcastle Jets in July 2015 on a one-season contract. The versatile former Adelaide United man has over 100 appearances in Australia’s top flight, the Hyundai A-League, to his credit. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Sport, Watson spent time as a youth player at Portuguese giants FC Porto as a youngster. He also played in Holland for VVV-Venlo’s youth and first teams. Watson comes from footballing family – his father George was a professional player with Stirling Albion in Scotland.
