The Jets and Bulls played out a 1-1 draw at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday afternoon on Matchweek two of the 2026/27 A-League season
The Jets struck just five minutes into the match through Xavier Bertoncello. The young winger shrugged off Liam Rose before cutting inside and lashing the ball into the bottom corner, leaving Robinson with no chance of saving the ball.
Vergos had a golden opportunity to double the lead in the 30th minute. Clough delivered a brilliant pass to the Greek forward, who touched the ball through the defenders legs before poking towards goal, with Robinson managing to push the ball away from danger. The score remained 1-0 to the Jets at the break.
The Bulls found an equaliser in the 70th minute. Fraser darted in behind before finding Musa Toure, who thumped the ball past Delianov. On a positive note, Alex Badolato returned from a long-term ACL injury lay-off, playing the final 13 minutes of the match.
Full-time came, with the scored locked at 1-1. The Jets fly out to Kyoto for an Asian Champions League Elite fixture on Tuesday night, before returning to McDonald Jones Stadium to play Wellington Phoenix next Saturday. Tickets can be purchased HERE
