The first chance of the game fell to captain Navah Crofton, who struck a loose ball first time, with her effort narrowly clearing the crossbar. Blacktown’s first chance came moments later, but Luburic wasn’t able to keep her shot below the bar.
Mackenzie Preston-Poole, freshly returned from a week with the Junior Matildas Squad, burst into the box, beating four Blacktown defenders before having her shot beaten away by the Blacktown goalkeeper. Shortly before half-time, Makayla Clifton had a golden opportunity to open the scoring, but she sliced her volley wide of the post.

Within two minutes of the second half commencing, Lillia Rae opened the scoring for the Youth Team. Aaliyah Kilroy split the defence with a sublime through-ball, which fell into the path of Rae. She took her shot first time, smashing it into the near top-corner, leaving the keeper no chance.
Anna-Liese Lobos tried to claw one back for Blacktown City FC, unleashing a shot that forced goalkeeper Ally Boertje into making a stunning one handed save, as she palmed the ball clear of danger.
Makayla Clifton grabbed the second of the game, poking home from a Preston-Poole cross to double the lead in the 72nd minute. Preston-Poole grabbed a goal of her own just a minute later, smashing home from well outside the box to make it 3-0.
Isabella Walshe put the cherry on top when she grabbed the fourth goal of the day. A devastating run from Lillia Rae into the box led to Rae poking the ball beyond the keeper, with Walshe finishing from right on the line to put the score at 4-0.
