Fan voting opens today for the selection of the Head Coach of the 2014 FOXTEL A-League All Stars for the showdown against European giants Juventus FC.

Until Sunday 6 April, fans will have their say on which of the current 10 coaches in the Hyundai A-League should be given the top job for the All Stars match on Sunday 10 August at ANZ Stadium, Sydney.

Juventus FC are on the cusp of claiming the 2013/14 Serie A title and have more than a dozen stars who will be on show at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

“Fan engagement is the key ingredient in the success of the All Stars match and fans can once again vote for the coach they think should lead the All Stars into this prestigious occasion,” said FFA CEO David Gallop.

“The A-League All Stars match was a fantastic addition to the Australian football calendar in 2013 and we will once again give fans their say in the selection process of both the coach and the players.”

Socceroos Head Coach Ange Postecoglou, who was in charge for the 2013 FOXTEL A-League All Stars team, said: “The match against Manchester United was a great opportunity for players and coaches to test themselves against one of the best football teams in the world and fans have the chance to give another coach the honour I was fortunate to have last year.

“The entire All Stars week is now an important part of the Australian football calendar and I look forward to watching on in 2014 as we once again take Australian football on to the global stage.”

Following the coach voting, fans will have their chance to vote for a provisional squad of 32 players later this month.
