Another big weekend of Youth football is coming up this weekend as our NPL NSW Women’s side travel to face Sydney Olympic, and our Men’s side takes on South Coast Flame at home.
Our Women’s side is still searching for their first victory this season, and will be hoping they can take a huge scalp of Olympic tot kickstart their campaign.
The Youth Men are still undefeated in 2022, and are locked in a battle for top spot with games in hand on the teams above.

Sydney Olympic v Newcastle Jets – Belmore Sportsground, Saturday 7 May, 2:45pm
The action kicks off on Saturday afternoon at Belmore Sports Ground as Sydney Olympic host the Emerging Jets.
George Beltsos’ team were involved in a six-goal thriller against Premiership rivals APIA Leichhardt on Sunday afternoon. They looked in control for parts of the game with Cortnee Vine creating various problems for the opposition.
Vine’s presence is sure to create problems for an inexperienced Jets team who is low in confidence. Olympic will be desperate to get on a run in order to keep their Premiership hopes on track with only one win from their first three matches.
As mentioned earlier, the Jets confidence is not where it needs to be right now. Two games, two defeats and a heavy defeat in their last match. They will need to be a lot better this week against an imposing team like Sydney Olympic.
Newcastle Jets vs South Coast Flame – Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility, Sunday 8 May, 7pm
To conclude the weekend of action, Newcastle Jets will take on South Coast Flame at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Sunday night.
The Jets had their most recent game against Camden Tigers postponed, with their last match finishing in a 1-1 draw against UNSW FC, with an early red card in the second half keeping scores level.
If other results go their way, Newcastle could go top of the league with a win over South Coast Flame, while they also have two games in hand on Hurstville and one on Hawkesbury, meaning they are guaranteed to remain in top spot if they get back on a winning roll.
Newcastle is the only side in the competition yet to lose a game, having won four and drawn two in their six matches played so far.
Meanwhile, after not picking up a win in their first four matches in the league, South Coast Flame is coming off the back of two consecutive victories in League Three Men.
They’ve impressively beaten Camden Tigers and Hurstville FC to propel themselves to seventh spot in the table and will be looking to continue this streak against Newcastle this weekend.
