Newcastle Jets defender Jason Hoffman took time out of his week recently to visit Swansea High School’s Year 7/8 Tirriki English class.
The class had written to the Jets asking for 15 footballs to be donated to the school, which they now intend to send on to refugees in Afghanistan.
Through his connections to Swansea High, Hoffman took it upon himself to visit the kids and share some of his experiences in the game before presenting 15 balls provided by the club’s Major Community Partner, the Greater Building Society.
