Biography
Xavier Bertoncello came through the clubs academy, initially joining in the U9s. A striker with a cannon of a right foot, Bertoncello has been a mainstay in the Youth team since the age of 16, where he led the team in scoring with 18 goals as they went undefeated in the 2024 FNSW League Two competition. He was also the recipient of the 23/24 Emerging Jet award.
Xavier debuted for the first team against Adelaide United in the Australia Cup Round of 32. He scored his first goal in the next game, the Round of 16 fixture against Cooks Hill. He also opened the scoring against Avondale in our 4-2 Australia Cup Semi-final victory. He was awarded with a one-year scholarship contract ahead of the 25/26 A-League season. He scored his first A-league goal in a 2-1 loss to Perth Glory in round five of the 25-26 season.
