Joel signed for the Newcastle Jets from NPL NSW powerhouse Apia Leichhardt. A versatile player who is comfortable in both Midfield and Full Back, Joel made his Jets debut against Central Coast Mariners in Round 1 of the 2025/26 season. Bertolissio previously made four appearances for Macarthur FC across both the A-League and Australia Cup.
