Fresh from a successful season in the NWSL with Portland Thorns, American ‘keeper Britt Eckerstrom will be looking to carry that good form across to the Jets in 2018/19. After playing every single minute for Newcastle in last season’s run to the semi-finals, Eckerstrom will be facing stiff competition from young Claire Coelho to keep her place between the sticks. The ‘keeper played ten matches for Portland Thorns in the NWSL during the 2018 Australian winter, keeping two clean sheets and saving a penalty.
