Biography

Anna Leat signed for the Newcastle Jets ahead of the 2025/2026 A-League Women’s season. A talented goalkeeper, she spent time in the American College system with Georgetown Hoyas. She then moved on to West Ham, where she made four league appearances before leaving to join Aston Villa. She was at Aston Villa for three years, before returning to her native New Zealand to play for Hibiscus Coast and Eastern Suburbs. Anna is a New Zealand international at U17, U20 and Senior level. She made her debut for the Senior team at 16 years old, before going on to earn 22 caps to date. Through her national team exploits, she has been a part of the squad at two Olympic Games (2020, 2024) as well as a World Cup (2023).

On her Jets debut against Canberra United, Anna provided an assist for the first goal as the Jets went on to win 2-1.
