Newcastle Jets Youth Team coach Craig Deans has completed his roster with the signings of youngsters Brodie Mooy and George Strogylos.
The Newcastle Jets Youth Team has today rounded out its squad for the forthcoming National Youth League competition with the signings of Australian Under-17 representatives Brodie Mooy and George Strogylos.
The pair of talented youngsters come to the Jets- Youth team from Telechoice NSW Premier League clubs, with Mooy being a former Marconi striker and Strogylos coming to the Hunter as a defender from Sydney Olympic.
Both Mooy and Strogylos made history, along with new teammate Jesse Pinto, when they represented the Qantas Joeys in Australia-s first competitive game as a member of the Asian Football Confederation in February 2006. The team competed in Group I of the 2007 FIFA Under-17 World Cup qualifying tournament along with Laos and Indonesia.
The Jets- Youth team will play in its first game of the National Youth League this Saturday, 27 September against Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium. The team will travel to the South Australian capital on Saturday morning ahead of this exciting fixture.

“It-s great to have the squad signed and settled. I-m sure all the boys are looking forward to playing against Adelaide this Saturday, and I-m certain that they-ll provide strong opposition for our first game,” Deans said.
