Young Newcastle Jets player, Tara Andrews has recently completed Year 10, all the while juggling her extensive football commitments.

Just last month Andrews represented Australia in the AFC Under 16 Women-s Championships in Thailand, scoring all four goals during the teams- 4-0 victory over China.

While in Thailand, Andrews sat her School Certificate examinations in between making appearances on the football field in the green and gold.

Upon returning home, Andrews recently attended her Year 10 formal and is a portrait of local football talent at its finest.

Looking towards her HSC, Andrews is working to achieve a successful UAI to gain entry into University on completion of High School to become a Vet alongside her football career.

“I just have to try and balance it out, and to study as much as I can when I don-t have football,” said Andrews.

Speaking at the PSSA Awards earlier this week after receiving an award herself during Year 6 for her involvement in a number of sports, Andrews also visited her old primary school Hamilton South to speak about her recent success.

Andrews will take to the field again on Saturday 5th December at Wanderers Oval when the Jets take on Brisbane Roar in the final round of Season 2 of the Westfield W-League.
