In their inaugural season, the Newcastle Jets finished second on the Westfield W-League ladder and narrowly missed a place in the Grand Final after an unlucky 1-0 loss to Canberra United in the Semi Final at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
The side announced today included a mix of familiar faces from Season 1 including Stacey Day, Amber Neilson, Gema Simon and Alison Logue.
Under the guidance of new Head Coach Wayne O-Sullivan, the side also includes an array of fresh, young faces that despite their youth on paper, carry an impressive array of credentials and include the likes of Tara Andrews, Hannah Brewer and Madeline Searl.
The new look Jets side kick off their Westfield W-League campaign in Adelaide on Monday with their Round 1 clash against Adelaide United.
The Jets then face another away game on Saturday 10th October in Perth against Perth Glory, before returning to Newcastle on October 17th for their first home game against Sydney FC at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
