The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Tiahna Robertson for the 2024/25 season.
Robertson joined the Club towards the end of the 2023/24 season as an injury replacement player, making her debut in an 8-0 win against Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium, keeping a clean sheet.
Robertson who came through the Jet’s Academy is pleased to be returning home for another season.
“I’m excited and grateful to get the opportunity to come back and play for my hometown Club again. Being able to make my debut and play finals was a good experience for me and I can’t wait to get back into it.
I’m looking forward to a successful season ahead with the team, continuing my footballing journey here at home in front of the fans and family.”
Newcastle Jets Head Coach Ryan Campbell said.
“I am very pleased that we have been able to secure Tiahna for this season. When she came in towards the end of the season her attitude in training and in games was exemplary.
Her ability to build up from the back is a key strength and this is something that we are really looking to implement this year. Her attitude towards development is also something that will add to our squad. We saw how she stepped in and performed last year so I am excited to see what we can get once she has completed a full pre-season.”
