Goalscorer Scott Neville spoke with Jets TV after Saturday night’s 2-all draw with the Central Coast Mariners at Hunter Stadium.
The Jets had a good chance of securing the win after leading the Mariners 2-nil however two late goals met the sides shared the points in the F3 Derby.
“It is disappointing to not come away with the three-points… but we can definitely take some positives from out there,” Neville admitted.
“When you are 2-nil up, you have to do better at finishing off the game.”
The defender was happy to get his name on the score sheet while scoring his first goal for the Club, and the Jets first goal of the season.
“I have had a few chances so it was good to finally score my first goal for the Newcastle Jets,” Neville said.
“I am just happy to be playing some consistent football after the season I had last year.”
