With the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season now behind us, we’re taking a look back on the season in numbers.
This week, we’re featuring six key numbers from the campaign of midfielder workhorse, Steven Ugarkovic.

27 – Ugarkovic managed to take the pitch in every single Hyundai A-League game this season, featuring in all 27. Just two of those appearances were from the bench – the rest, starts.
65 – With an appearance in every single Hyundai A-League match this season, it takes the midfielder’s number of consecutive appearances out to an incredible 65. That reaches back into the 2016/17 season.
1317 – Stevey was on the ball at every opportunity this season, boasting 1,317 possessions. It’s just 22 fewer than Dimi Petratos, who topped the charts for Newcastle.
1008 – He didn’t just get on the ball, he distributed it well with 1,008 completed passes across 2018/19 – the highest of any Jets player.
85% – More than four-fifths, 85%, of Ugarkovic’s attempted passes were successful this season. Of players who played ten games or more, that’s the best in the Jets side.
4 – With distribution as sharp as this midfielder’s, it is any surprise he boasts 4 secondary assists for the season? We don’t think so.
