Danielle Krzyzaniak (Newcastle Jets FC)
The independent MRP considered an incident in or around the 12th minute of Newcastle Jets FC’s (Newcastle) Ninja A-League Women’s match against Sydney FC on Saturday, 14 December 2024, in which Danielle Krzyzaniak (Krzyzaniak) received a direct Red Card.
In accordance with the A-Leagues Disciplinary Regulations (Regulations), the MRP has the authority to consider the incident as Krzyzaniak was issued with a direct Red Card by the Referee.
The MRP determined that Krzyzaniak committed the offence of “Denying the opposing team an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, as prescribed in Law 12 of the Laws of the Game”. The Minimum Sanction for the offence is a one (1) match suspension, being the Mandatory Match Suspension. The MRP confirmed that Krzyzaniak will serve a suspension of one (1) match for the offence, before being eligible for selection for Newcastle’s Ninja A-League Women’s match against Canberra United FC on Sunday, 29 December 2024.
