Newcastle Jets Members and fans intending to venture to Coffs Harbour for the Club’s Hyundai A-League Round 17 match with Melbourne City in January can travel to and from the home of the Big Banana just like the team.

The Club has come to an arrangement with local airline Fly Pelican to transport the players, coaching and support staff to the Coffs Coast ahead of the clash with City on Friday 27 January.

In October Jets players Jason Hoffman and Aleksandr Kokko were welcomed aboard Fly Pelican’s inaugural flight from Newcastle Airport (NTL) to Coffs Harbour Airport (CFS) – and back – as the airline launched its swift 45-minute route.

“Flying Fly Pelican to Coffs Harbour was very easy and efficient,” Hoffman recalled. “The time from our arrival at Williamtown Airport to disembarking at Coffs was under two hours, which shows how effective choosing Fly Pelican for this route is.”

“Aleksandr and I flew up and back on one of Fly Pelican’s 19-seater aircrafts alongside Paul, Marty and Emil from Fly Pelican’s management team, as well as other passengers.”

“We enjoyed the opportunity to be part of the foundation flight and I know the players truly appreciate the support of Fly Pelican in minimising our travel time ahead of what is set to be an important match for the Club against Melbourne City,” he said.

In the lead up to and after the Jets and City contest at C.ex Coffs International Stadium next month Fly Pelican have one-way fares available from just $99 each.

Fly Pelican typically fly from Newcastle to Coffs Harbour (and in reverse) five days per week – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Kick-off in the Hyundai A-League clash is at 7:50pm.
