Newcastle Jets Major Community Partner, Greater Bank, is giving children aged 15 years and under the chance to attend the Club’s final home game for free when the Jets take on Western Sydney Wanderers at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday 1 April.
As part of its match day partnership, Greater Bank is giving away 1,500 general admission tickets to children aged 15 years and under when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets will be available on match day at the free ‘Family Fun Fair’ to be held in the stadium’s western carpark prior to kick-off.
Greater Bank Chief Executive Officer, Scott Morgan, said the ticket offer and pre-match activities were an important feature of the bank’s partnership with the Newcastle Jets.
“Giving back to the community and engaging with people across the Hunter and beyond are important features of our partnership with the Jets,” Mr Morgan said.
“The Wanderers’ games are always a feature of the Hyundai A-League calendar and we wanted to play our part in getting fans along and cheering on the Jets in their last home game of the season.
“It’s also exciting to be working with the Jets to present the Family Fun Fair, which will provide plenty of fun and entertainment before kick-off in the big game.”
The Family Fun Fair will be open from 4:00pm until 5:30pm and families can watch live OzHarvest cooking demonstrations, play on seven inflatable games, have their faces painted, and take part in a range of other football inspired activities. Hit 106.9 will also be broadcasting live from the Family Fun Fair.
Children can visit the Greater Bank Marquee at the Family Fun Fair between 4:00pm and 5:00pm to pick up their complimentary match ticket.
Newcastle Jets Chief Executive Officer, Mr Lawrie McKinna, thanked Greater Bank for working with the Club in the community.
“Our Jets: Connect program fuelled by Greater Bank enables us to interact and engage with thousands of young footballers and school kids annually,” McKinna explained.
“In February Greater Bank funded five buses for our Members to travel to Coffs Harbour, and now they’re helping us to make one of our biggest matches of the season accessible to more local families and members of the community.”
“We certainly encourage kids to collect their free ticket from the Family Fun Fair between 4:00pm and 5:00pm and enjoy the activities there before enjoying the match,” he said.
*Kids are defined as 15 years and under. Kids must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. One (1) ticket per child only. Four (4) free children’s tickets per paying adult (including Members). Tickets will be GA located in the North Family Hill. Free tickets are capped at 1,500.
