Fan Representative Group: Nominations Now Open!

The Newcastle Jets today confirmed the launch of a formal structure to engage with and take feedback from fans.

This formalised feedback structure aligns with the broader approach of the game with the Fan Representation Group initiative being a key platform to enable clearer two-way communication between the Fans and the Club and also to connect supporters to the leadership of the APL.

All A-Leagues Club CEOs and the APL Executive met in person last week to review the work that has been in development since early in the year on supporter consultation. The development process included benchmarking global best practice and consulting with local stakeholders to come up with the best model for Australasia.

At the Jets, the Fan Representation Group will involve a cross-section of the Club’s fanbase to ensure that fan voices can be heard and considered in decision-making on key matters. A Chair will be identified from this group to represent the Club in the newly formed A-League Fan Representative Group.

Newcastle Jets Executive Chairman Shane Mattiske believes the Fan Representative Group will give Members and Fans a voice for key decisions.

“This initiative will give supporters from our community the ability to voice their opinions on key decisions that will ultimately impact our Members and fans and the future of our game.”

To be considered for the group, interested Members and Fans will be required to complete the online application process via the link provided below. Applications close Wednesday 31 May 2023.
