Milan Hammond Re-Signs

The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce that attacker Milan Hammond has re-signed with the Club for the next two seasons.

Milan made her debut for the Jets last season in a 1-0 away win against rivals the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford. Hammond has made 15 appearances for the Jets in 2023/24.

Milan is a local product, having played her junior football through the Jets Academy. Milan was recently selected for a Young Matildas squad which recently toured New Zealand alongside teammates Lara Gooch and Emma Dundas.

“I’m extremely excited to sign with the Newcastle Jets again for the next two seasons. Playing for my hometown team is something I never take for granted. I’m really determined to make more of a positive impact on the team this season after my first full season in the A-League.”

Newcastle Jets Coach Ryan Campbell said.

“It’s great to have locked don another great young prospect. Milan has been working really hard and ended last season as a key member of our run in to the finals.

Since then she has been working hard with our NPL team as well as with the future Matildas program and I look forward to seeing how she develops over another A-League season. It is a key goal of ours to lock down quality local players who are able to compete at the highest level and this is another player we have been able to do this with.”

The Newcastle Jets can also confirm the departures of Kiara Rochaix and Mindy Barbieri. Academy graduate Zoe Karipidis has also departed the Club to pursue a College opportunity in the United States of America. The Club would like to wish them all the best for their future.
