Mark Birighitti polled the highest number of votes for his performance in last Saturday’s 2-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers at Parramatta Stadium.

Birighitti pulled off a number of crucial saves during the contest to ensure the Jets preserved their lead and went home with the three points.

Following each Newcastle Jets game the Men of Football nominate their best Jets on field by allocating 3 points, 2 points and 1 point and the player with the highest number of votes at the end of the season will be awarded the Ray Baartz Medal.

Each week, the votes will be posted on the Jets website along with a cumulative leaders tally. The final four rounds of voting won’t be published and the winner of the medal revealed at season’s end.
