The Newcastle Jets are proud to announce that McDonald’s have joined the club as a major sponsor.

Australia’s leading Quick Service Restaurant will partner with the Club’s Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League sides until the end of the 2019/20 season.

McDonald’s iconic golden arches will be on the back of the Hyundai A-League playing strip and on the sleeve of the Westfield W-League kit.

As part of the new partnership, the Jets will also engage with football clubs throughout the Hunter region thanks to McDonald’s Club Nights.

Jets CEO, Lawrie McKinna said the agreement was a significant step forward for the Club.

“McDonald’s supports sport and grassroots programs right throughout Newcastle and Australia, to have a brand of this stature join the Club is major achievement,” McKinna said.

“To have them on board for the next two seasons is indicative of where the Club currently finds itself, with great results on field and plenty of stability off it.

“This partnership is about McDonald’s supporting not just the Jets, but grassroots football in Newcastle, which is brilliant to see.”

“I couldn’t be happier to welcome McDonald’s into the Newcastle Jets family.”

Warwick Boyd, owner/operator of McDonald’s Mayfield and Industrial Drive, said “We’re excited to partner with the Jets and help encourage active lifestyles by building the football community in Newcastle.

“We hope to see great things from the Newcastle Jets over the next couple years and we’ll be cheering them on the whole way.”
