Goalkeeper Mark Birighitti joined Newcastle Jets in 2012 from rival Hyundai A-League outfit Adelaide United. Since signing with the club 24-year-old Birighitti has proven himself to be one of the best young custodians in Australia. A full Socceroo, Birighitti spent time on loan with Varese in Italy’s Serbia B in 2015, however re-joined the club for Hyundai A-League season 11. Birighitti was a member of the Hyundai A-league All Stars team that played Italian giants Juventus in Sydney in 2014.
