Ben Kennedy and Ben Kantarovski are both progressing well through their respective rehabilitation programs.
The Newcastle Jets- goalkeeper Ben Kennedy and midfielder Ben Kantarovski are both progressing well through their respective rehabilitation programs following knee surgery.
Kennedy, in his fourth week of rehabilitation, is approximately two weeks from resuming full training.
“Ben returned to controlled field sessions the end of last week and he has continued to progress this week with his field work,” Physiotherapist Robert Dingle said.
“He is now back into light running, and is progressing with his handling, foot work and passing.
“Ben will increase his workload over the next fortnight with a view to have him back to full training at the end of this period if he gets to all clear from the specialist. “
Kantarovski is two weeks into his rehabilitation but remains some weeks away from resuming from training.
“Ben was reviewed by his surgeon at the end of last week and he is happy with where he is at this point in his rehab,” Dingle added.
“He will continue to work hard in the coming weeks to restore his strength and mobility in his right knee.”
Meanwhile goalkeeper Mark Birighitti had surgery this week on his fractured cheekbone and will see the surgeon next week to confirm his recovery time.
