Over 850 local junior football players have embraced the Junior Jets initiative in it’s inaugural season.
A new initiative for the 2024/25 A-League season, the Junior Jets Season Pass was developed in partnership between Newcastle Jets and Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) to make it easier for local junior footballers to attend Jets home games & cheer on their A-League Men and Women heroes in their own backyard.
The Junior Jets Season Pass is for NNSWF registered players aged 12 and under, and includes admission to all A-League Men’s and Women’s home games throughout the season, discounts and a membership card for as little as $5.
Newcastle Jets General Manager of Customer and Community Matt Starr said:
“It’s fantastic to see such great engagement with the Junior Jets Season Pass in year one. The local Northern NSW football family are a key pillar of the Club’s success, and through our great working relationship with Northern NSW Football we’re always looking for ways to build a closer connection to this community and continue to build the Club’s fanbase”.
Northern NSW Football CEO Peter Haynes said it was important to have a strong partnership with the Jets.
“The Junior Jets Season Pass is a wonderful initiative that has given registered participants within the northern NSW football community greater access to watch the Newcastle Jets men’s and women’s teams,” Haynes said.
“A key pillar of our 2024 to 2026 Strategic Plan is that we want to showcase our game and the Newcastle Jets are an important part of our football community. It is crucial for NNSWF and the Jets to maintain a strong relationship and continue to work together in partnership to continue growing football across the region.
“We’re delighted to see that more than 850 junior players across our region have taken up the offer to obtain a Junior Jets Season Pass and we look forward to seeing that number grow into the future.”
