The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce the re-signing of defender Josie Wilson for the 2024/25 A-League season.
Wilson joined the Club last season from NSW NPL side Northern Tigers and made a total of 18 appearances in the 2023/24 season.
Wilson is excited to once again link up with the rest of her teammates when pre-season returns.
“I am excited to re-sign with the Jets again for 2024/25. I’m grateful to be returning to such an amazing Club. We achieved a lot last season and I’m really looking forward to building on that for the season ahead.”
Newcastle Jets Coach Ryan Campbell said.
“Josie had a great first season in Newcastle having been plucked from NPL in Sydney. Her physical characteristics allowed her to slot into the style that we implemented throughout the season and she was involved in many of our key matches.
Josie has a lot of potential and is somebody that I am looking forward to working with more in order to get the most out of her. Her adaptability to positions is a key strength and something that allows her to have a good impact on the game.”
