The Jets Youth were defeated by Broadmeadow Magic 2-0 on Tuesday evening at Wanderer’s Oval.
The game, which was meant to be played last weekend but postponed due to the wet weather, was an even contest and the result could have gone either way.
The score was nil-all at half time, and it wasn’t until about the 75th minute that the Magic took a 1-nil lead. The Magic then extended their lead with a second goal right before full time.
The Jets, who had their chances but were unable to convert it to points, had a number of players unavailable due to commitments with the first team in Sydney.
The result means the Jets Youth finished in third spot and Broadmeadow in second. The two sides will meet this Sunday in week one of the finals.
