Entry to the trial game at Adamstown Oval was a gold coin donation to the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Fund. The generosity on show last week was incredible, with around $2000 being raised for those adversely affected by the tragic circumstances in Victoria.
The game itself ended 1-1. Valentine pounced on an opportunity in the 8th minute to take an early lead, but the Jets dominated possession throughout the match and were rewarded with an equaliser through new import striker Donny de Groot.
