The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets are making every goal matter for their 2012/13 Membership campaign, with the Club passing 9,000 Members on Monday.
This is a tremendous feat with the Club drawing on the passionate supporter base within the Hunter community.
This support has ensured the Club still has the second biggest Membership in the A-League behind Melbourne Victory and ahead of Clubs such as Sydney FC, Brisbane Roar and Perth Glory.
“With more than 3,500 Members attending our season launch and trial match against Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, this latest Membership tally highlights how strong the support for this Club is,” CEO Robbie Middleby said.
“We are really proud to still have the second biggest Membership in the A-League and are confident we can reach our target of 11,000 Members.”
There’s a lot to look forward to in 2012/13, with the Newcastle Jets enjoying one of the best A-League home draws the Club has ever had.
The Jets host Sydney FC for two home games against Sydney FC on Saturday 22 December (Round 12) and Saturday 2 February 2013 (Round 19). Jets fans will get to see Sydney FC-s and World Cup, UEFA Champions League and Series A winner player Alessandro Del Piero on Jets’ home turf twice this season.
Plus the Club also host F3 arch-rivals the Central Coast Mariners and defending champions Brisbane Roar on two occasions each at Hunter Stadium this season.
Jets fans are encouraged to buy their Membership this week and get their Membership Card in time for the blockbuster A-League 2012/13 opening against Adelaide United on Sunday 7 October at Hunter Stadium.
