The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce that Alex Nassiep has joined the club on a scholarship deal for the 2025/2026 season.
Alex joins the Jets having previously spent time with both Melbourne Victory and Western United. Initially starting in the Western United academy in 2023, he was rewarded with a scholarship deal in January 2025. Alex has represented Australia at U17 level.
“I’m really excited to have signed with the Newcastle Jets. I can’t wait to get started out on the pitch with Jess (Vanstrattan), Mark and the rest of the coaching staff.”
Head Coach Mark Milligan said this,
“Alex has been identified by our goalkeeping department as a goalkeeper with great potential. He has had exposure to the A-League environment, and we feel he will only continue to grow at the Jets. We are excited to get him into training.”
