The Newcastle Jets hosted its first Jets in Business function for the 2024/25 A-Leagues season at Peibri Place in Wickham on Tuesday morning.
Nearly 50 businesses have joined the exclusive networking program in its inaugural year with the breakfast function officially launching the new seasons calendar of events.
Emceed by media identity and football pundit Adam Peacock, guests were treated to an in-depth panel Q & A with broadcaster Ben Homer, Jets Men’s Head Coach Rob Stanton and former premiership winning Newcastle Knight Steve Crowe, now in a Government Relations role with Port of Newcastle.
The trio provided amazing insights and stories as they were interviewed by Peacock with Ben Homer giving the audience a sneak peak into his upcoming book on the history of the Newcastle Jets, Crowe spoke to what sport and the cities two professional clubs – the Jets and Knights – meant to Novocastrians while Stanton said outlined his plan for the season, that he was very happy with where his team was at and fans will see significant improvement while continuing to foster his focus on the Jets academy and blooding several young scholarship players.
Maverick Sports Partners Executive Director Maurice Bisetto also addressed the clubs corporate supporters, thanking them for backing the club in its new era and made special mention to the clubs new major partners – Brydens Lawyers & Cardiff Motor Group – and both Greater Bank and Inspirations Paints, who both have hit their tenth year of partnering with the Jets.
The next Jets In Business event is the marquee moment in the calendar – the Women in Focus luncheon on Tuesday 19 November. Businesses still have time to secure their spot at the remaining events for the year by contacting Jason Hoffman on Jason.hoffman@newcastlejetsfc.com.au
