Emile Heskey and Michael Bridges spent time with budding young footballers this week as part of an Optus promotion.

Newcastle Jets’ striker Emile Heskey and forward Michael Bridges participated in an ‘Optus Small Sided Football’ clinic for eight and nine year old budding footballers on Wednesday.

Heskey, who is a Play Football Ambassador, and Bridges greeted the kids and signed autographs before conducting a skills clinic at Ray Watt Oval.

“Being out here on a sunny afternoon, coaching kids and helping them develop their skills is a privilege,” Bridges said.

“Small-sided football is a great way for kids to start playing football and learning about the game.”
