Ensuring Jets players receive the best in medical imaging to manage injuries is a key focus for HIG’s new practice in Charlestown.
Ensuring elite athletes like Newcastle Jets and Newcastle Knights players receive the best in medical imaging to manage injuries is a key focus for Hunter Imaging Group-s (HIG) new flagship practice in Charlestown.
The new purpose built state-of-the-art radiology facility in the H2 Health Square building in Smith Street has already played a key role in recovery programs for a number of players from both the Jets and Knights.
“Our medical team relies on HIG for quick access when medical imaging is needed, with high quality images to help diagnosis and treatment planning,” Jets physiotherapist Robert Dingle said.
Peter Schultz, CEO of Hunter Imaging, explained the services at the Charlestown practice include MRI and CT scans, ultrasound and general X-ray and is providing the most up-to-date technology to all Hunter residents and their doctors.
“When we provide the best imaging services it means that patients and their doctors have the highest quality information on which to base major decisions about health care,” Schultz said.
“The team at the new centre will be managed by a hand-picked team of dedicated specialists.
“All services reported by our radiologists ensure the highest quality medical care and diagnostic reporting.”
The new HIG practice has been designed with modern and attractive amenities for increased patient comfort and has ample parking with a dedicated car park off Smith Street or in the public car park directly across the road.
The Hunter Imaging Group has a proven track record with a history spanning more than 50 years and has been at the forefront of diagnostic imaging in the Hunter region for as many years.
