Newcastle Jets can confirm the departure of Nikolai Topor-Stanley from the Club.
The 36-year-old has played a total of 344 games in the A-League and 189 games for the Jets.
Having made his A-League debut with Sydney FC in 2006, Topor-Stanley linked with Perth before moving to the Jets.
“It has been an honour to represent the region and it’s people each and every time I’ve stepped onto the pitch.
The defender first kited up for the Club in the 2009/10 season and later returned to Newcastle at the beginning of the 2017/18 season after a period with Western Sydney and stint with Hatta Club.
“I want to thank all the people of Newcastle that have been part of my football journey with the Jets,” Topor-Stanley said.
“It has been an honour to represent the region and it’s people each and every time I’ve stepped onto the pitch.
“Through the high and lows, I can hold my head high and say I’ve given everything for the shirt, and now looking forward, I wish everyone all the very best.”
Last season, Topor-Stanley reached a 100 consecutive A-League games milestone and claimed the 2020/21 Jets A-League Player of the Year award.
On the training ground, Topor Stanley led by example and the Jets cannot thank him enough for his years of service.
The Club wishes him and his family all the best in the future.
