CEO Shane Mattiske said:
“When we were advised No.2 was not going to be ready we reached out to the Cessnock Council and they stepped up right away and worked quickly to make it happen.”
“We had strong support from the Cessnock community when we played a trial game at Cessnock two weeks ago so now the area will get to come and see a fully professional Ninja A-League clash.”
The Jets were originally scheduled to play the home opener at the No.2 Sportsground but that ground is now unavailable due to remediation work on the field of play.
