The official radio broadcaster of Newcastle Jets matches, 1233 ABC Newcastle is inviting listeners to demonstrate their commentary skills by submitting a 45-second snippet of them calling one of the Jets- goals from earlier this season.
Jets supporters are invited to add their very own commentary to Joey Gibbs’ goal from Newcastle-s 2-0 win over Brisbane Roar in Round 11.
The best five recordings will each win a double pass to see the match between the Newcastle Jets and Sydney FC on Saturday 22 February at Hunter Stadium.
The winners will watch the game from the comfort of the 1233 ABC Newcastle corporate box and enjoy some VIP treatment with visits from Jets players, and a delicious menu of food and beverage.
The recording judged to be the best will win a money can’t buy experience which includes:
1. A trip through the tunnels and onto the field to watch the Jets warm up
2. A spot in the 1233 commentary box (during the 2nd half of the match) alongside Aaron Kearney, Phil Dando and the 1233 commentary team. The opportunity to discuss the match on-air after the game, during 1233’s extra time!
The top five audio files of commentary will be aired live on radio on Tuesday 18 February and will also be featured online.
1233 ABC Newcastle listeners will vote for their favourite commentary call and the person behind the most popular voice will win the money can’t buy experience!
