Brazilian attacking midfielder Leonardo Vitor Santiago officially began life as a Newcastle Jet on Monday morning, training with his new teammates for the first time at the University of Newcastle.

Leonardo arrived in the Hunter Valley on Friday night, and undertook a routine medical screening on Saturday morning under the guidance of the club’s Head Physiotherapist, Justin Dougherty.

After attempting to catch up on some sleep late on Saturday, Leonardo joined teammates Nigel Boogaard, Cameron Watson, Andy Brennan, Mateo Poljak, David Carney, Mark Birighitti, Daniel Mullen, and Jason Hoffman at the Northern New South Wales Football National Premier Leagues Grand Final.
