“It is a derby and if you aren’t ready, you shouldn’t be out there,” Newcastle Jets defender Connor Chapman said after training on Friday at Hunter Stadium.

“It is a derby and if you aren-t ready, you shouldn-t be out there,” the youngster admitted after the final training session on Friday.
The Jets go into the Round 4 against rivals the Central Coast Mariners with confidence.
“We had an improved performance last week and we can build on that,” Chapman admitted.
Although the Jets are yet to score a goal in the opening three rounds, Chapman says it is a team effort to get on the scoring sheet.
“Together (in defence) we feel quite strong,” he added.
“We attack as a team and we defend as a team, so it isn-t just us.
“Scoring goals just isn-t about the strikers, if we get better as a team we will do alright.”
