The Newcastle Jets would like to announce that Chloe Logarzo will not be returning to the club for the 2017/18 Westfield W-League season.
Joining the club in 2015/16 and despite an injury-plagued 2016/17 campaign, the Matilda has had a major impact at the club both on and off the pitch.
Jets’ W-League Head Coach, Craig Deans was disappointed to lose the talented midfielder but wished her all the best with the next step in her career.
“You’re always disappointed to lose a player of Chloe’s ability, she’s been a leader within our playing group and has been fantastic in working with our younger players,” said Deans.
“She’s been living away from home and her family for a long time now, so we can appreciate the need for her to make this change.
“Chloe has been absolute pleasure to coach and she’s certainly welcome back in Newcastle any time she’d like to return.
“We wish her all the best in whatever she decides to do both this season and beyond.”
In making the decision to part ways with the Jets, Logarzo said that it wasn’t an easy decision.
“I’ve loved my time at the Jets and in Newcastle, it’s become a ‘home away from home’ for me and it’s been really difficult decision to leave,” said Logarzo.
“This decision is ultimately about being closer to my family, I’ve been living away both here and overseas for a long period of time, and that becomes really tough.
“From a footballing perspective, the Jets have been an amazing club to be a part of and I want to wish Deansy and the playing group all the best for the season ahead.”
The Newcastle Jets would like to wish Chloe all the best with her future endeavours in both club football and with the national side.
