Newcastle Knights hooker Danny Buderus dropped in to Newcastle Jets training this week to wish the team well as they finalised their preparations for Sunday-s season opener against Adelaide United at Hunter Stadium.

Buderus is looking forward to the Jets season and hopes the Knights Members will get behind their sporting brothers.

“We live in a town that bleeds blue and red and I encourage all the Knights Members to get out there this summer and support the Jets,” Buderus said.

“I know I look forward to getting along to Hunter Stadium, as I know many of my teammates will too, to cheer the Jets on this season.”

The Knights number nine also met Jets- new signing and former England striker Emile Heskey.

“It was really exciting to hear the Jets signed Emile Heskey,” Buderus added.

“After spending three years in England, I got to see some English Premier League games and to have someone of Emile-s calibre in Newcastle, is fantastic.”

Get behind the Newcastle Jets and join over 10,000 already on board by becoming a Member.

“The Jets have set an ambitious target of 11,000 Members and with your help, they can get there,” Buderus said.
