Noah James: “It was a big learning curve for me”
It feels like local goalkeeper Noah James has been around the Club for an age, yet he’s still only 20-years-old and after spending a year on loan, he has returned with invaluable experience he plans to utilise this coming season. The Young Socceroos keeper left near beginning of the 2020/21 to take a loanee opportunity with the Western Sydney Wanderers where, although he did not feature on the A-League Men’s field, did spend almost every match on the substitute bench as back-up to Daniel Margush.

Boumal to draw on global experience to help Jets
New Jets recruit Olivier Boumal has been in Australia and out of quarantine for just over two weeks now and is quickly finding his feet with his new club in what is his seventh nation to play football. The Cameroon-born winger has spent the majority of his career in Greece having started his youth football in France, before then making moves to Romania, China, Japan and even Georgia.

Jets secure goalkeeper Georgia Boric
Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the signing of young goalkeeper Georgia Boric for the upcoming A-League Women’s Season. Boric has represented Australia as part of the Junior Matildas and has previously spent time as part of Canberra United but has yet to make her league debut. The 23-year-old is excited for the challenge. “The opportunity to compete for a position in the A-League Women’s competition is really exciting to me,” Boric said.

Beka Mikeltadze: The Journey So Far
One of the more intriguing signings ahead of the A-League Mens 2021/22 campaign, is Beka Mikeltadze who joins the Jets from Greek outfit Xanthi FC. Despite his young age of 23, Beka has plied his trade all through Europe and has even represented the Georgian national team on multiple occasions. His arrival to Australia poses another challenge as he looks to take the next step in his career. This is Beka’s journey so far.

The A-Leagues Name Isuzu UTE Australia as First Ever Naming Rights Partner for Men’s Competition
The A-Leagues today announce the signing of Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) as the first naming rights partner of its men’s competition, which will be officially known as the ‘Isuzu UTE A-League Men’. The three-year partnership marks the latest milestone in the A-Leagues’ ambitious growth and commercial development strategy. Commencing with the upcoming season (2021-22), the partnership also includes naming rights of the A-League Men’s Finals Series and becoming the Official Automotive Partner of the A-Leagues’ Men, Women, Youth and E-Sports Leagues.

Taren King re-signs with Jets
Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce defender Taren King has re-signed for the upcoming 2021/22 A-League Women’s Season. King returns to the Club after featuring in all 12 matches last season in what was her first with the Jets after joining from Canberra United. The 24-year-old has made 34 appearances in the A-League Women’s competition, and Coach Ash Wilson believes her experience will prove vital. “It’s pleasing to be able to re-sign Taren this season,” Wilson said.

Local Academy players awarded Future Matildas Scholarships
Three current, and one former Newcastle Jets Academy players have recently been chosen as recipients of the inaugural Northern NSW Football Regional Future Matildas Scholarship. Milan Hammond and Josie Allan both were awardees, as too was Kirsty Fenton, who recently graduated into the A-League Women’s side.

Academy product Tamplin set for UEFA Champions League start
Trading the parks of Newcastle for the stadiums of Europe... Tessa Tamplin, who spent her youth football developing through the ranks of the Newcastle Jets academy, has shown that the leap to playing amongst Europe’s best is achievable through sheer determination and hard work. The former A-Leagues Women’s star now plies her trade for Servette in the topflight of Switzerland and is looking to cement her place in the starting XI ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with heavyweights Juventus next week.
