Both Craig Goodwin and Andrew Hoole scored for the Socceroos Training XI in their 7-2 friendly win over Sydney Olympic.

Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets players Craig Goodwin and Andrew Hoole both started and scored goals for the Socceroos Training XI in their 7-2 friendly win over Sydney Olympic at Belmore Sports Ground on Wednesday night.

Goodwin gave the Socceroos a 2-1 lead after tapping in a cross from Dario Vidosic midway through the first half.

The left-winger returned the favour after the break, setting up Vidosic for the Socceroos- fourth goal of the match.

Hoole scored the Socceroos- sixth goal during a second-half blitz that eventually saw them run out 7-2 winners.

Goodwin is one of 12 Australian-based players called into Socceroos camp by coach Holger Osieck ahead of three crucial World Cup qualifiers next month.

Hoole, along with Jets teammates Josh Brillante, Connor Chapman and Adam Taggart, is taking part in a simultaneous Young Socceroos camp in preparation for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey in June.
