The purpose of the arthroscope was to clean-up a small bone spur and some scar tissue.
Brown was plagued for much of the 2012/13 A-League season by the ankle problem and Jets physio Rob Dingle said the latest operation will allow the former Gold Coast United player to regain full fitness prior to the Jets- Round 1 clash with Sydney FC.
“We decided to have the clean-out now to give James enough time to fully recover and be back in full-training prior to the commencement of the season,” Dingle said.
