The Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Ally Boertje has signed a scholarship deal for the 2024/25 season.
Boertje, a Novocastrian, has previously played for NNSW NPL sides New Lambton and Warners Bay.
Boertje is excited to join her hometown team.
“I am very excited to be playing in the A-League with my home team. It’s been a huge dream of mine to play for the Jets. I never thought I could achieve it but I’m so glad and grateful for the opportunity.”
Newcastle Jets Head Coach Ryan Campbell said.
“Ally has worked really hard in the local NPL to demonstrate her potential. Her shot-stopping is excellent and she is working hard in training on her ability to play with the ball at her feet. She communicates well and I am sure she will make the most of every second in training and games that she is involved with.”
