Newcastle Jets goalkeeper Mark Birighitti ventured to Northern NSW Football’s Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Tuesday afternoon as part of the PCYC’S Nations of Origin under 12-14 Football Tournament.
PCYC Nations of Origin promotes reconciliation within communities by engaging the Aboriginal Nations of NSW and people of non-Aboriginal descent.
At the event Birighitti signed autographs for the kids, giving out balls and posters. He also helped present the end of tournament trophies to the winning sides, runners-up, and boys and girls players of the tournament.
Congratulations to all the teams that took part, including boys winners Awabakal A, runners-up Dunghiti, plus girls winners Wiradjuri Gugas, and runners-up Worimi.
