Newcastle Jets are delighted to announce the signing of Academy defender Chloe Walandouw for the 2022/23 A-League Women’s season.
Walandouw who has progressed through the Emerging Jets program will play her first season in the A-League.
Jets Coach Ash Wilson is delighted to have secured Walandouw’s signature for the coming season and is excited to watch her develop.
“I’m very pleased and proud to be able to sign Chloe Walandouw for the 2022/23 season. She is an academy product who has represented every age group and wears the Newcastle Jets badge with pride. Chloe is a regular member of the under 17 National team who were recently crowned champions of the 2022 AFF Under 17 Tournament. She is a fullback who loves to get forward, using her speed and dribbling skills to contribute to positive attacks. Defensively, she loves a challenge and thrives in 1 v 1 situations.
She is someone who epitomises the core values of our club and town, being hard working, having a good attitude and being humble. These characteristics, combined with her technical quality and positive physical traits, will ensure she continues to grow and thrive in this elite environment. Walandouw is excited to be linking up with the Women’s side in her first season in the A-League.
