7. Jordan O'Doherty plays as a central midfielder and offers the side an energetic spark. During the later stages of the 2020/21 A-League season, O'Doherty joined the Newcastle Jets from the Western Sydney Wanderers in a swap transfer deal which saw Steven Ugarkovic head in the opposite direction. O'Doherty made his Jets debut in a 1-1 draw with Sydney FC at McDonald Jones Stadium and impressed with his high-intensity playing style.
