In similar circumstances to their A-League counterparts the night before, the Jets Westfield W-League side earned a hard-fought win over the Wanderers at Marconi Stadium.
A goal to Jenna Kingsley in the 60th minute would ultimately prove the difference, but the Jets were dominant across the entire match as the Wanderers fell to their fourth successive loss of the season.

Katie Stengel was unlucky not to have a goal of her own in the opening exchanges, putting the ball in the back of the net after a goal mouth scramble – only to be deemed offside by the Assistant Referee.
Jets skipper, Emily van Egmond returned from a minor knee injury sustained while on international duty and was instrumental in the middle of the park. The Matilda was in the thick of a number of chances, and combined with Stengel to put plenty of venom into the Jets attack.
Off the back of her Goal of the Round, Cortnee Vine almost netted another screamer with an audacious effort from the outside the 18-yard box that forced Michelle Whyman into a spectacular save.
Kingsley again filled a hole in midfield for Craig Deans, proving a handful with the ball at her feet. Her tireless effort would be eventually rewarded with her first goal of the campaign to the delight of her teammates.
Hannah Brewer again paired with Cass Davis in the centre of defence and the two proved hard to break down in the absence of Larissa Crummer.
The injured Matilda is on the road to recovery and is a chance to return in Round 5.
The Jets now face a short turnaround for a clash with the Brisbane Roar at McDonald Jones Stadium this Thursday.
