Newcastle Jets confirm A-League Women’s departures

The Newcastle Jets have confirmed the departure of seven players ahead of the new season.

Sophie Harding, Sunny Franco, Bethany Gordon, Tiana Jaber, Kirsty Fenton, Marie Markussen and Elizabeth Eddy have departed the club ahead of the new season.

Harding made her debut for the Jets in 2021, featuring in 25 matches for the Jets, scoring one goal.

Franco made her debut for the Club in 2021, making 18 appearances for the Jets scoring four goals.

Gordon joined the Jets in 2021 from NSW NPL Women’s side Macarthur. Gordon made 11 appearances for the Club.

Jaber joined the Jets from the Wanderers and made her debut for the Club in 2021 against her former side. She featured in 16 appearances for the Jets, scoring one goal.

Fenton made her League and Club debut last season featuring in 13 games for the Jets.

Norwegian Marie Markussen featured for the Jets in nine matches, scoring two goals.

American Elizabeth Eddy joined the Jets last season and played in 14 games for the Club, scoring two goals.
